Selenomethionine

Selenomethionine (organic form of Selenium) is a naturally occurring amino acid. It combines with proteins in the body to form antioxidants called selenoproteins. These compounds help protect against free radicals which can cause damage to cells in your body. The purpose of selenomethionine is to reduce inflammation and strengthen the immune system.

Additionally, supplementation with organic Selenomethionine increases the activity of glutathione peroxidase in healthy adults.

Anti-Aging

Selenomethionine fights free radicals and minimizes skin damage, reducing wrinkles and signs of age.

Reduces Inflammation

Inflammation is caused by UV rays, stress, poor diet, and a lack of minerals. The use of selenomethionine in skincare fights inflammatory stressors that can lead to skin damage.

Healing Properties

Selenomethionine, when paired with Vitamin E, can boost glutathione which may help heal the skin’s barrier. Selenomethionine can also decrease the development of acne.
