Green Tea Extract

Green Tea Extract is made from Camellia Sinensis leaves and buds.  Green tea extract also contains caffeine, a known vasoconstrictor, which can help reduce puffiness of dark circles and bloating of the face when applied topically. Paired with green tea EGCG’s anti-inflammatory properties, green tea extract is an extremely effective way to reduce inflammation and treat acne.

Acne

An ingredient in green tea known as EGCG, is known for its ability to reduce sebum production which stuns the growth of acne. Additionally, green tea’s antibacterial properties can help treat active acne breakouts, which would make it a powerful acne treatment ingredient.

Anti-Aging

Polyphenols in green tea protect skin from the effects of ultraviolet (UV) light. This helps prevent the acceleration of aging, in addition to offering anti-inflammatory benefits. Green tea compounds also help defend against wrinkles, due to their ability to prevent the breakdown of collagen and elastic fibers, which in turn stalls the loss of skin elasticity.
