Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex

Citrus bioflavonoids are aromatic plant metabolites.  Citrus bioflavonoids has gathered a lot of attention due to their massive potential to improve health.  Bioflavonoids, also known as flavonoids, are antioxidants that naturally occur in a variety of plants. Citrus fruits contain flavonoids in high concentrations, these natural antioxidants help to maintain good health. Since antioxidants protect your cells from damage, they slow the aging process.

Citrus bioflavonoids can be found in the following citrus fruits:

  • Oranges
  • Mandarins
  • Grapefruits
  • Lemons
  • Bergamots
  • Limes

Glowing Skin

Bioflavanoids work by multiple pathways to repair damaged skin, slow and repair age related skin damage and produce a well known “Glowing Skin” effect.

Bruising

Bruises to the body occur when blood vessels break, due to some kind of force, and leak blood into areas under the skin. The main symptoms of a bruise are skin pain, skin discoloration and swelling.

Bioflavonoids are often recommended along with vitamin C for people who bruise easily. Bioflavonoids help strengthen the capillaries, which makes them helpful for healing bruises. Bioflavonoids, especially citrus flavonoids, may also increase the effectiveness of vitamin C.
