Arbutin

Arbutin is derived from dried blueberry, bearberry, or pear tree leaves. Arbutin is a natural form of hydroquinone, a skin lightening agent used to bleach the skin and treat different forms of hyperpigmentation. When used over time, arbutin is more effective than other natural ingredients.

Anti-Aging

Studies show that supplementation of Arbutin decreases reactive oxygen species. ROS causes oxidative stress, which is one of the main ways our skin becomes aged. It also combats glycation. Glycation is sugar induced sallowness that leads to an increase in fine lines and wrinkles. Arbutin increases the elasticity of the skin leaving it fuller and plumper for a more youthful complexion.

Hyperpigmentation

Arbutin is a cosmeceutical. It fades sunspots, age spots, acne scars and melasma. Arbutin stops the production of extra melanin. Melanin is the pigment that creates skin color. It has the ability to prevent future freckles and hyperpigmentation from developing leaving for a more even complexion.

Brightening

Arbutin works to fade discoloration caused by inflammation and environmental stressors. When used topically, arbutin works to brighten and even out your complexion leaving your skin healthier and more vibrant.
