Alpha lipolic acid is an antioxidant that protects the skin from sun damage and stress caused by pollution and other environmental factors. Studies show when used topically, ALA reduces fine lines on the skin around the eyes and upper lip area. ALA has the ability to slow the breakdown of collagen which decreases pore size and reduces wrinkles leaving for a plumper and more youthful complexion.

Anti-inflammatory

Alpha lipolic acid is suitable for sensitive skin types as it works to soothe and reduce dry, red, irritated skin. Topical us of ALA has shown a decrease in scars or hyperpigmentation on the surface of the skin.
