Aloe Vera

The botanical name of aloe vera is Aloe barbadensis miller, and it belongs to the Liliaceae family. Aloe vera is gel from the leaves of aloe plants. It’s safe for most to use aloe vera topically for minor skin care conditions.

Anti-Aging

Aloe vera replenishes and retains moisture in the skin. It stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin fibers in the skin, which is essential to keep the skin hydrated, firm and supple. Applying aloe vera topically has been shown to help restore skin elasticity and decrease the appearance of fine lines.

Acne

Aloe vera’s antimicrobial properties work to help acne-prone skin. It is also a natural source of salicylic acids which aid in acne breakouts, specifically with blackheads and whiteheads.
